It is a packed schedule and every day is an adventure with a unique experience. The English-speaking tour guides were outstanding as were the staff on the train. Our trip on the Deccan Odyssey has honestly been the trip of a lifetime. We visited some wonderful destinations. The variety of places we visited meant we were never bored, and there was just the right amount of time spent relaxing on the train, gazing out of the window as scenes of rural India passed by. The accommodation on the train is very comfortable and the staff looked after us extremely well. In fact the staff deserve a special mention for their helpfulness and friendliness. Arriving at destinations we were received like VIPs, with the full red-carpet treatment, literally. India can be an overwhelming place, very different to the USA, but we always felt reassured that there were people from the train staff to guide us and look after us. Our Group of Six travelled recently on Deccan Odyssey the Heritage Odyssey and we took 3 Presidential Suites. The hospitality , Tours and Sevices on board was excellent.
